Q. When will the next season start?
A. February 4 – March 24, 2012
Q. What is the cost for registration?
A. $30 for the Players, $15 for the Buddies, No charge for the Coaches and Volunteers, but they will have to fill out a Registration Form. Scholarships are available.
Q. When is the deadline for registration?
A. Tuesday January 11, 2012
Q. What are the game times?
A. 11:00, 12:15 or 1:30. You will play at one of these times, depending on the schedule.
Q. Will there be practices?
A. Yes, all practices will be 15 – 20 minutes before the game. We will not have a practice on a separate day.
Q. How long are the games?
A. About one hour.
Q. What is a “special need?”
A. Anything where a player may need some support to experience success and fun in the game: physical, intellectual, psychological, social, neurological, motoric, etc.
Q. If I am a player do I need to provide my own buddy?
A. No. Buddy Baseball will match you up with a buddy.
Q. We don’t have any equipment, do I have to buy a glove, bat and helmet?
A. We will have balls, bats and helmets. You will need a ball glove. We have some used ball gloves donated for the players to use. You can pick one up at the Meet and Greet.
Q. When will the Players, Buddies and Coaches meet?
A. At the “Meet and Greet” on Saturday, January 28, 2012. Omar K. Lightfoot Recreation Center, 10901 N. 56th St. Temple Terrace, FL 33617.
Q. Will there be training for the Buddies and Coaches?
A. Yes, before the Meet and Greet on Saturday, January 28, 2012
Q. Will the Coaches have background checks done?
A. Yes
Q. How many players are on a team?
A. 5 to 6, depending on how many players we have.
Q. Where will the games be played?
A. At the Temple Terrace Recreation Complex softball fields. 6610 E. Whiteway Drive, Temple Terrace, FL 33617. (Fields are behind Lewis Elementary)
Q. Do I have to have a Temple Terrace Recreation Complex membership to play?
A. No
Q. I do not live in Temple Terrace or Hillsborough County, can we still play?
A. Yes, we have no restrictions on where you live.
Q. How do I sponsor a team?
A. Go to the “Sponsorship” page. Sponsorship opportunities are $250.
Q. I don’t want to sponsor a team, but I do want to make a donation. How do I do that?
A. Go to the “Donations” page for instructions.
Q. Will my child get a uniform?
A. Absolutley. All players will get a T-Shirt with their team name and number on the uniform.
Q. My child is in a wheelchair, can they play too?
A. Yes
