Q. When will the next season start?
A. February 25, 2017 to April 8, 2017

Q. What is the cost for registration?
A. $30 for the Players, $15 for the Buddies, No charge for the Coaches and Volunteers, but they will have to fill out a Registration Form.  Scholarships are available. 

Q. When is the deadline for registration?
A. Friday January 6, 2017 – 5:00 pm

Q.  What are the game times?
A.  9:45, 11:00, 12:15 or 1:30.  You will play at one of these times, depending on the schedule.

Q. Will there be practices?
A. Yes, all practices will be 15 – 20 minutes before the game.  We will not have a practice on a separate day.

Q.  How long are the games?
A.  About one hour.

Q.  What are the commitments of the buddies?
A.  Once you are a buddy, you are a buddy for the same player every game.  We have a 7 game schedule.  We would like the buddies to commit to at least 4 of the 7 games.  If you can’t commit to 4 games out of 7, but still want to be a buddy.  You can sign up as a back up buddy.  We will place you on a team, but not assign a player to you.  You can fill in and assist as needed.

Q. What is a “special need?”
A. Anything where a player may need some support to experience success and fun in the game: physical, intellectual, psychological, social, neurological, motoric, etc.


Q. If I am a player do I need to provide my own buddy?

A.  No.  Buddy Baseball will match you up with a buddy.

Q. We don’t have any equipment, do I have to buy a glove, bat and helmet?
A. We will have balls, bats and helmets.  You will need a ball glove.  We have some used ball gloves donated for the players to use.  You can pick one up at the Meet and Greet.

Q.  When will the Players, Buddies and Coaches meet?
A.  At the “Meet and Greet” on Saturday, February 18, 2017.  Omar K. Lightfoot Recreation Center, 10901 N. 56th St. Temple Terrace, FL  33617.

Q. Will there be training for the Buddies and Coaches?
A. Yes, Saturday, February 18, 2017, 12:00PM.   Omar K. Lightfoot Recreation Center, 10901 N. 56th St. Temple Terrace, FL  33617. 

Q.  Will the Coaches have background checks done?
A.  Yes

Q.  How many players are on a team?
A.  5 to 6, depending on how many players we have.

Q.  Where will the games be played?
A.  At the Temple Terrace Recreation Complex softball fields.  6700 E. Whiteway Drive, Temple Terrace, FL  33617.  (Fields are behind Lewis Elementary)

Q. Do I have to have a Temple Terrace Recreation Complex membership to play?

A.  No

Q.  I do not live in Temple Terrace or Hillsborough County, can we still play?

A.  Yes, we have no restrictions on where you live.

Q.  How do I sponsor a team?
A.  Go to the “Sponsorship” page.  Sponsorship opportunities start at  $250.

Q.  I don’t want to sponsor a team, but I do want to make a donation.  How do I do that?
A.  Go to the “Donations” page for instructions.

Q. Will my child get a uniform?
A. Absolutley.  All players will get a T-Shirt with their team name, their name and number on the uniform.

Q. My child is in a wheelchair, can they play too?
A. Yes
