Buddy Baseball is a non-competitive recreational league for boys and girls with special needs in Tampa, FL. Each player is paired with a “Buddy” to assist the player as needed. The league fosters friendships and breaks down barriers. Buddy Baseball is an opportunity like no other for children with special needs. Not only do the players experience the thrill of participating, they also get to experience team play and camaraderie. This program is supported by the Temple Terrace Leisure Services Department. PLAY BALL!
Buddy Baseball is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
Buddy Baseball Basic Information:
Our games are one hour with a 15 – 20 minute practice before each game. Each team has 6 Players and 6 or more Buddies. Each team will only play one game per Saturday.
When: Saturdays - Our next season will start in October 2012
Where: Temple Terrace Family Recreational Complex Softball Fields

Player Ages: Students (boys and girls) ages 8 – 22 with special needs
Buddy Ages: Boys and Girls ages 10 – 18
Game Times: 11:00am, 12:15pm, 1:30pm or 2:45.
Registration: $30 for Players, $15 for Buddies, No charge for the Coaches and Volunteers
Registration Deadline: Registration for the next season will open in August
Meet and Greet: Date to be determined later – Lightfoot Center in Temple Terrace.
Sign your child up for a great time, or become a “Buddy” and have fun with these players with special needs. Both Girls and Boys are encouraged to play. Coaches, Volunteers, Donations and Sponsorships are needed. Check out our Videos and our Testimonial pages.
