Buddy Baseball is a non-competitive recreational league for boys and girls with special needs in Tampa, FL.  Each player will be paired with a “Buddy” to assist the player as needed.  The league allows friendships to form and barriers to be dissolved.  Buddy Baseball is an opportunity like no other for children with special needs.  Not only do the players experience the thrill of participating, they also get to experience team play and camaraderie.  Advancing the personal development of any child through team participation and kinship is an important step along the road to success and happiness. This program is offered through the Temple Terrace Parks and Recreation department.  PLAY BALL!

Our second season was a huge success!  Thanks to all the Players, Buddies, Coaches, Sponsors, Donors, Coaches, Volunteers, Supporters and Fans.  We had over 200 people at our End of Season Party.  The trophy presentation was the highlight of the party.
  
Our next season to start on Saturday October 9th, 2010.

We will have a “Meet and Greet” where the Players, Buddies and Coaches meet each other on Saturday October 2nd, 2010.  Lunch will be provided. 
 
Buddy Baseball Basic Information:
 
Our games are one hour long with a 15 – 20 minute practice before each game.  This past year, we had 6 teams participating.  Each team had 6 Players and 6 Buddies.

Player Ages:  8  – 18 boys and girls with special needs
Buddy Ages: 10 – 18
 
Sign your child up for a great time, or become a “Buddy” and have fun with these players with special needs.  Both Girls and Boys are encouraged to play.  Coaches, Volunteers, Donations and Sponsorships are needed.
 
All Players, Buddies and Coaches need to register to play and coach.  There is no registration fee for the Buddies and the Coaches.Check out our Facebook Page – Buddy Baseball Tampa
